The Power of Agreement

I was speaking with someone today who is facing a real challenge in life. I heard the facts and details of the issues and found myself searching for what to do and how to help. When I care about someone, I want to do whatever I can to help, to show support.
It's not always straight forward, many of life's challenges don't have easy answers. It's not hard to help a friend when you have the answer. It's harder when the problem is more complex and outside of your power to intervene.
What can we do when we want to help and 'be there' for someone when the fight is on? All I know to do is pray, to ask God for His wisdom and grace, and stand with my friend in agreement of faith.
God is the source of every answer and all we have need of. He is the great Creator and Maker of the universe. Nothing is impossible for Him!
I believe in the power of agreement. I add my faith to the faith of another and it's simple - we have more power together than on our own.
I believe in united prayer! In Matthew 18:19 it says; 'Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.'
Wow - what a promise! This lifts my expectation. Maybe I can't do anything but God can. He promises to send the answer from heaven. What a privilege it is to see God fulfill His word.
All of a sudden I don't feel powerless. By joining together in faith and trust through prayer, I feel strong. I feel that sure foundation of the Father's love and care. He will work His will in the situation.
The power of agreement might not be something physical that we can see with our eyes, but it is real and brings about tangible anwers.
Let's take opportunity to pray together and see God's miraculous provision.
